What Do You Shred?

Hold on to your income tax receipts going back five years in case you’re audited. But once it’s older than seven years, shred it! Collect your pay stubs for the financial year so that you can verify your employment when during your taxes, but once
that’s done – shred it!

As a general rule, anything with the following information should be shredded before being recycled:

–      Account Numbers

–      Passwords

–      PINs

–      Signatures

–      Social Security Number

–      Date of birth

Thanks to www.bankrate.com for the information.
